Rome mural shows Pope as Superman

Move over Superman, and make room for Superpope. He is already a hero to the world’s downtrodden but now Pope Francis has been depicted as the popular super hero in a Rome mural.
While Pope Francis conducted his weekly general audience at the Vatican in his usual down-to-earth- style on Wednesday, only a few hundred metres away he was being depicted in altogether differently. Wall art depicting Francis as Superman, the comic book, television and movie flying super hero has appeared on a building close to St. Peter’s Square, white cape and all. The Argentine pope is shown taking off into the air, his right fist clenched in classic Superman style.
