Justin Bieber just can’t seem to stay out of the limelight for all the wrong reasons.

Fresh from one brush with the law in the States he has now had another with police in his home country of Canada.

This time he’s been charged with assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto in December.

Bieber allegedly struck the driver on the back of the head several times while being taken from a nightclub to a hotel, along with five other passengers on December 30. He is due in court in March 10.

Screaming fans of the 19 year old singer braved temperatures of minus 10 degrees Celsius to see their idol walk out of a Toronto police station.

Earlier this month Bieber was charged by police in Miami with drag racing and driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.

Meanwhile an online petition calling for the US government to deport the troubled pop star has gone over the threshold needed for a White House response of more than 100,000 signatures
