Marine Activists Report Scores of Dolphins Killed in Japan

As Japan’s annual dolphin slaughter in Taiji draws international criticism, the Sea Shepherd conservation group is continuing its years-long campaign of observation and “daily harassment”. It reported on January 27 that a pod of 4 Pacific white-sided dolphins were driven near the harbour at Taiji before being hauled from the water. The group reported on January 28 that 60-65 striped dolphins were killed.
