Police Used Tear Gas and Electric Prods to Disperse Phnom Penh Protesters

Military police used tear gas, batons and what appeared to be electric prods to disperse a rally organized by opposition radio station Beehive Radio, owned by Mam Sonando, outside the Ministry of Information in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on January 27. Around 500 people joined the rally calling for increased bandwidth for the station and a TV broadcast licence. Credit: James Ricketson
