Protesters rally for foreign domestic workers' rights

More protests in Hong Kong Thursday to demand greater workers rights for foreign domestic helpers.

Wednesday, a court charged a woman of abusing her maids which included punching, beating and verbally threatening to kill their maids relatives.

Disturbing video of one of the abused maids, a 23 year old named Erwiana, shows her laying in a hospital bed in Indonesia with blackened hands and feet- abuse her doctors say was caused by boiling water.

Protesters say more needs to be done to help protect foreign domestic workers.

"On the part of Erwiana, this is a good development. But also when we talk about the general situation of migrant domestic workers, I think there are still many things that the government could do, especially you know to review and to repeal some of the anti-migrant policies."

Current laws state that maids are required to live
