Hundreds attend ceremony for dead protester in Bangkok

STORY: Hundreds of people attended a ceremony at a Buddhist temple in Bangkok on Sunday for protester Prakrong Choochan, who was killed by a grenade explosion on Friday.
Thirty five protesters were also wounded in the explosion in the capital. That takes to nine the death toll since the protests started in November.
It was unclear who was behind Friday's attack.
Prakrong's body was laid out in the temple, with those wishing to pay their respects queuing up to pour water over his hand. On Monday (January 20), his body will be moved back to his home, Phuket where he will be cremated.
Former Thai Prime Minister and leader of the opposition Democrat Party, Abhisit Vejjajiva, was among the mourners.
Earlier in the day anti-government firebrand Suthep Thaugsuban led thousands in a march through Bangkok demanding that Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra resigns. He was expected to pay his respects to Prakrong later on S
