A female, that too from agrarian society of Punjab and aspiring to be a singer, are the best words to introduce a budding Punjabi singer Taniya Gill. She is in her mid 20s, five titles old, sixth one in her kitty and she feels that she has covered quite some distance in this male dominated profession.
This week `Pindan Vichon Pind` on Zee Punjabi is all set to introduce Muzzafarpur, Hoshiarpur's Taniya Gill to its viewers in her own domain. While interacting with the anchor Baljeet Johal she unveiled various aspects of her personal life. She says she has struggled a lot in this male dominated world and with her mother's support and God's will she is here.
She lost her father ten years back and now she is the earning member of her family. How she feels being a pillar of her family which has a mother, sister and brother, is all what Taniya is going to reveal in our 'Pindan Vichon Pind' this Saturday 7:30 PM, repeat telecast on Tuesday 10:30 PM.
There is more also in this lively interaction. Its all about her journey in this music world, her present routine, her stage shows, her costumes. Yes, costumes, its an important aspect in this field. And as far as Taniya Gill is concerned, she is home designed. Now almost one and half decade old in the Punjabi singing, her costume is either designed by her sister or by herself.
Its catching up, must be! Taniya's inspiration is Gurdas Mann and Satinder Bitti. But its Bitti's song 'Ghari Muri mainu surma paun....' which she considers her real inspiration. If you want to know more about this singer, don't miss Zee Punjabi's Pindan Vichon Pind............
