Police in Ecuador stage a replay of the murder of a Japanese tourist in the hope it'll help in their hunt for the killer.

Tetsuo Hitomi was killed and his wife Mariko was badly wounded in an attack in the coastal city of Guayaquil.

Police said they were shot by a group of up to eight people.

Local media reports said the pair, who were on their honeymoon, were followed after getting into a taxi.

Ecuador's president has promised a thorough investigation into the attack.
