Security tight a day before parliamentary elections

Black and white campaign posters hang in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka while voter turnout for Sunday's parliamentary election hangs in the balance.
Security has been tightened here ahead of the polls after weeks of violent clashes between opposition party supporters and police.
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party have called for a boycott of the election where some 154 seats will go uncontested if they do. The BNP say they're boycotting to protest the ruling party's decision NOT to follow the tradition of installing a caretaker government to oversee elections.
Political analysts say it's the voters who will ultimately suffer.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) SECRETARY OF CITIZENS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE, BADIUL ALAM MAJUMDAR, SAYING:
"The common people are in a horns of dilemma, is in danger, as a matter of fact. They are damned if they go to the polling booth, they are damned if they don't. So their personal safety and security would be in danger."
