AFRICA NEWS - Still no rebel response ahead of South Sudan's truce deadline

Ethnic Nuer fighters face off against South Sudan's army near the flashpoint town of Bor. Two weeks of deepening violence have left at least 1,000 dead. Also, Uganda has warned rebels loyal to South Sudan's former VP that if they ignore Juba's ceasefire offer, regional leaders will act. Riek Machar has been given until Tuesday to accept a truce. And at least 70 fighters are killed by Congolese security forces after armed supporters of a former political rival to president Kabila launch attacks.
