Israeli police suspect Palestinian militants planted a pipe bomb on a bus in Tel Aviv.
The device exploded but no one was hurt in the blast.
The driver had managed to evacuate all 12 passengers in time, having raised the alarm when he saw a suspicious object on a rear seat.
It is the first such incident since Israeli-Palestinian peace talks resumed in July.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
