Vicious dogs and terrified mailmen, it’s the stuff you usually see in movies. However in one case, it’s very true.

A pit bull in Concord, New Hampshire is making life miserable for local residents and the postal service. Dwellers on Cornell Street have not received their mail in approximately a year.

The reason for the delivery problem is not due to inclement weather or budget cuts. Instead it has to do with an unfriendly pooch named Levi.

Although Levi’s owners keep him on a leash, the strong dog is able to break free. The yard does not have a fence, so Levi then takes to the street.

On three separate incidents Levi confronted and got aggressive with mail carriers, leading to the decision to avoid the road altogether. Neighbors are understandably furious about the mail dilemma.

Some of them installed mail boxes at the end of the street - the farthest point from Levi’s home. Others drive across town to get their mail.

One inconvenienced and angry neighbor stated “We just don’t think, as tax-paying citizens, that we should have to buy a mailbox to put on another street when everything was fine until this dog came.”
