An animal trainer, 35-year-old Danny Gottani was attacked by a tiger in front of hundreds of witnesses during a show in Madrid, Spain.

The whole ordeal was captured on film. The animal can be seen rushing across the stage and pouncing on Gottani.
Initially audience members thought the incident was part of the act, but they soon realized the mauling was real.
He was said to be in serious condition but he is expected to survive. Gottani encountered severe bites to his legs, back and throat.
The attack is baffling to say the least. Gottani has reportedly been training animals since the age of 18 and he never uses whips or other debatably abusive methods to control any of the creatures,
Sadly, his mother had been in the audience at the time of the mauling and she required medical attention after a panic attack from watching the horrific incident unfold in front of her eyes.
