UN report: chemical weapons 'likely' to have been used in Syria attacks

UN investigators have concluded that chemical weapons were probably used in five out of seven attacks they examined in Syria.

The UN says the deadly nerve agent sarin is likely to have been used on four occasions. One such incident was reportedly “on a large scale.”

A two and a half year civil war in the country has killed more than 100,000 people, according to the final report of a UN inquiry.
