Thai PM calls for talks to end protests

A small group of demonstrators show no sign of giving up the fight to take down the Thai government.

On Thursday they gather outside the Government House tearing down barbed wire.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has already called for called for snap elections February 2nd, but that has not ended the tensions.

The government continues to put a brave face on the situation as the Prime Minister called for talks on December 15th.

(SOUNDBITE) (Thai) PRIME MINISTER YINGLUCK SHINAWATRA SAYING:

"The government is ready to listen to the different opinions and is ready for discussions to find the right solution for Thailand. Currently, there are many groups and organizations who want to take part. The talks will lead to the reform of Thailand in the future."
