A group of Irish supermarket workers who staged a strike against South Africa’s apartheid regime in the 1980s have travelled to Johannesburg to pay their tribute to Nelson Mandela. The workers staged a picket for nearly three years after a cashier was suspended for refusing to handle South African goods. Also, US taxpayers lose $10 billion on the bailout of General Motors as the government sells its final shares in the company.
