Tunisian migrants rescued off Italian coast

The Italian navy and coast guard rescued fifty-five Tunisian migrants off the Italian island of Pantelleria Sunday night.

The migrants were transferred onto a navy vessel and covered in space blankets after their ship ran into trouble.

The start of winter is bringing rough seas and strong winds, causing hazardous conditions for migrants traveling to Italy by boat.
