In a horrific report, a 31-year-old woman is recovering in the hospital following a brutal attack. Rachel Poole had been 9 months pregnant; her c-section scheduled to take place only a week after a man broke into her El Paso home and stabbed her.
In a horrific report, a 31-year-old woman is recovering in the hospital following a brutal attack. Rachel Poole had been 9 months pregnant; her c-section scheduled to take place only a week after a man broke into her El Paso home and stabbed her.
Thankfully, her baby, a healthy little girl also survived the incident. The newborn, named Isabella, was born via cesarean section several days early, as doctors could not treat Poole’s injuries while she was still pregnant.
Corey Bernard Moss is the suspect, accused of the brutal assault. He reportedly arrived at Poole’s house as part of a confrontation about money that was owed.
Poole, oblivious that Moss had gained entry into her house, was in her kitchen using FaceTime to speak with her husband, Justin Poole who is currently stationed overseas. Moss approached her from behind and stabbed Poole over and over again with a stainless steel knife.
Poole recognized Moss and shouted his name repeatedly, allowing her husband to know who the suspect was due to the open chat application. Moss was later apprehended by Fort Bliss Military Police.
He has been charged with attempted capital murder.
