Kerry visits Polish air base ahead of U.S. defense bid

STORY: United States Secretary of State John Kerry met with Polish Defense Minister Tomasz Siemoniak and U.S. servicemen stationed Poland's Lask Air Base at the end of his visit to the country on Tuesday (November 5).

At a ceremony inside the base, Kerry awarded the Meritorious Service Medal to former commander of Polish troops in Afghanistan Lieutenant Colonel Wojciech Bagan.

Kerry said earlier that U.S. companies, with government support, would compete vigorously to win major defense contracts
