Car smashes into Manhattan bodega, at least 8 injured

Up to a dozen people were injured, including three critically, when a car careened into a Manhattan shopfront early on June 19, leaving behind a trail of debris. Shortly after 7 a.m. on Wednesday a white Nissan Altima, reportedly with 5 occupants, was driving down 2nd Avenue. Witness accounts differ, but possibly due to a collision with another vehicle, the southbound Nissan jumped the kerb and crashed into a bodega at the intersection of East 4th Street.
