Gunman shoots 4 before being brought down by police

A gunman in Greenville, North Carolina shot 4 people before being shot down by police. The suspect and victims are all expected to survive their injuries.

At a approximately 11:45 a.m. on Friday afternoon, an armed gunman carrying a "pistol-grip shotgun" and wearing a bulletproof vest walked into the Kellum Law Firm parking lot and opened fire on a man sitting in a car outside the firm. The gunman then made his way across 5-lanes of traffic on Greenville Blvd. towards the local Wal-mart. Witnesses said he started firing at random inside the parking lot.

Police were quick to respond and arrived on the scene within minutes. The gunman fired one round at officers who were on the scene and was shot down as he attempted to flee the area. According to Greenville Police Chief Hassan Aden, the shooter was carrying multiple rounds of ammunition on him. There have been no charges filed.
