Veena Malik, who was recently in Kolkata to promote Supermodel, went into a reminiscing mode, talking about her experience of shooting with ex-boyfriend Ashmit Patel. Said Veena, "Well, everybody asks about the exciting experiences during shooting because Ashmit Patel, Jackie Shroff and Bobby Darling were there. But unfortunately, while shooting for Supermodel, I and Ashmit weren't on talking terms. There was a cold war between us. So no thrilling and exciting stories to share." When asked if her cold war took a toll on the quality of their chemistry, she replied in the negetive saying, "No, the chemistry was much stronger. When you have that connect with the past, and now you guys don't talk to each other, the pent up emotions find a way out. Once that connect is there, it is always there. You cannot just erase it. It was obviously there. It wasn't shown on Bigg Boss, but Ashmit too loved me a lot. He used to wash my lingerie too and would even take my outbursts calmly. Sometimes, i would even hit him with my high-heels. Episodes aired only showed me washing his undies, but that wasn't the case as the affection was mutual."

She went on to recollect the shooting of a sad song Tujhse alag, tujhse juda for the flick. "We two didn't need to act at all — we started crying on our own. It is my and Ashmit's favourite song from the movie. Emotions in the film are so real that it is good that we weren't on talking terms. Everything looked as deep and intense as it was between us. You think, the kind of emotions that two people will be sharing when they even refuse to look at each other and talking. Now, its easier for me to talk about all these because the shoot is over, but it was very difficult to work with Ashmit given all our repressed feelings. It was kind of a trauma and I thanked God the day the shoot ended," she said.

So, is she talking to him now? "Yes, we have made peace. We will anyway keep meeting each other, will work together too, so why not develop a kind of a working relationship. It made sense to me," she explained.
