Death toll rises in Italy boat disaster

More than 100 people are dead and hundreds more are missing after a boat carrying African migrants sank off the southern Italian island of Lampedusa. The tiny island is a major route for migrants trying to get into Europe. It lies just 113 kilometers from the coast of Tunisia. The migrants had boarded the vessel in Libya.
