There are some days that can make a person wish they never got out of bed. That was the case for an unidentified man in Chula Vista, California.

He had been driving along the freeway when his car encountered a flat tire. The male pulled over to change it by hand and got robbed during the process.

The incident occurred at about 8 pm on a recent Wednesday along Interstate 5. Two men driving a black Honda Civic pulled over.

The victim initially thought they were there to help, until he noticed they were armed with handguns. The suspects were able to make off with the man’s laptop, cellphone and wallet.

Once the goods were acquired the duo quickly left the scene. The California Highway Patrol is now searching for the men and the Civic.

A third suspect was also involved. His role was driving the getaway vehicle.

All of the men were said to be in their 20s. A highway patrol officer stated “It’s a horrible thing to do, to rob somebody on the freeway.”

As for the victim, his day got even worse, as his car was impounded as evidence.
