Iran agrees to talk about its nuclear program

Iran has agreed to address concerns about it's nuclear program during talks at the United Nations.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held high level discussions with counterparts from Britian, China, France, Germany, Russia and the U.S. on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly.

After the meeting, the diplomats agreed- things went well.

Discussions were very substantive, business-like. We hope to be able to make progress towards resolving this issue in a timely fashion based on respecting the rights of the Iranian people to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes including enrichment, and at the same time making sure that there is not concern at the international level that Iran's nuclear program is anything but peaceful.
