Man Who Threatened Police Holds Public Sign Calling Himself an Idiot

A man in Cleveland, Ohio was forced to hold a large, colorful sign in front of a local police station for threatening officers.
Jail sentence is an obvious punishments for criminals. However, sometimes the best penalties involve public humiliation.
A man in Cleveland, Ohio was forced to hold a large, colorful sign in front of a local police station as a result of making threats to officers. 58-year-old Richard Dameron’s poster noted "I apologize to Officer Simone and all police officers for being an idiot calling 911 threatening to kill you. I’m sorry and it will never happen again”.
In March of this year, a judge ordered Dameron to serve prison time for calling 911 and spewing drunken threats towards police officers. The court authority added another stipulation to the punishment; once his time in jail was over, he would have to stand right outside of Cleveland's Second District Police Station and hold up a sign apologizing for his actions.
Dameron was initially supposed to conduct his sign holding event in June, however he never showed up. So he was sent back to prison for another 90 days.
After his second release, Dameron stood outside the station, holding up his poster for all local residents to see.
