Robbery Suspect Busted on Moped, Wearing Ski Mask Over Helmet

One robbery suspect in Hubert, North Carolina was recently busted by police after allegedly demanding money from a convenience store customer. He reportedly used a screw driver during the robbery and concealed his appearance with a helmet and ski mask.

There is a certain breed of criminals, who make it insanely easy for cops to catch them. One robbery suspect in Hubert, North Carolina was recently busted by police after allegedly demanding money from a convenience store customer.

He reportedly used a screw driver during the robbery and concealed his appearance with a ski mask. 24-year-old Wesley Keith Baxter was able to flee the scene however he was soon apprehended by police, only a short distance away form the convenience store.

Baxter had been driving a moped. The ski mask, which he wore during the crime, was still stretched over his helmet when officers caught up with him. Cops were fairly certain they had the right guy.

The police press release noted “The suspect apologized for robbing the victim and told the officer times were hard and he just needed some money.” Baxter was quickly arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of kidnapping.

He is currently being held at the Onslow County Detention Facility on a $130,000 bond.
