Man Accused of Handcuffing Mother to Running Car in Garage

A man in Waterford Township, Michigan has been accused of handcuffing his 78-year-old mom to a running car which was parked in a closed garage.

Most people wouldn’t dream of hurting their own mother. However a man in Waterford Township, Michigan has been accused of handcuffing his 78-year-old mom to a running car which was parked in a closed garage.

45-year-old Adam Lutz left his mother Gloria Lutz attached to the outside of the vehicle. According to police, the son was hoping the fumes would kill her.

After approximately four long hours, the elderly woman was able to escape from the handcuffs and locked herself in a bedroom.

The next day, she reported the terrifying incident to police and her son was arrested shortly thereafter.

He was charged with assault with intent to murder and attempted murder. Adam was arranged in court and given a $1 million bond. He is now being held at the Oakland county jail.

Police currently believe Adam tried to murder his mother for her money. Officers also noted that psychological and emotional abuse had been going on for quite some time.

Law enforcement is still trying to piece together the family history along with any additional facts about the incident.
