Yes we can-nabis, says Australia HEMP campaign

It's the launch of Australia's HEMP party election campaign.

The Help End Marijuana Prohibition Party is fielding 12 senate candidates in the upcoming elections but that they're not in it to win it says this candidate.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) HEMP PARTY CANDIDATE, BJ FUTTER, SAYING:

"I understand that we are not going to get elected this time round. My hope is that we shake the foundations of those that are in power for them to realise they are going to have to do it. It's an inevitable thing anyway. I know deep in my soul this is inevitable. This plant will be legalised. It's just a matter of when."

The HEMP Party wants to see marijuana available legally for medicinal use.

One campaigner says she wouldn't be alive if it weren't for hemp oil and she wants to be able to buy it without breaking the law.
