Restaurant Patron Tweets Photo of Knife Yielding Robber

A relatively brave, unidentified diner in Japan decided to take a picture of a suspect who robbed a restaurant chain with a knife. The customer then posted that photo of the culprit on Twitter.

A relatively brave, unidentified diner in Japan decided to take a picture of a suspect who robbed a restaurant chain with a knife. The patron who was sitting nearby when the robbery took place whipped out a smartphone and snapped one shot which captured the suspect’s side profile and showed him holding a long, sharp butcher’s knife.
The customer then posted the picture of the culprit on Twitter with a caption noting that there was a robber at the establishment.
The incident occurred on August 27th of this year. Another diner in the restaurant was also tweeting about the crime in progress. Luckily social media users weren’t the only ones that knew about the incident; police were notified as well.
No one was hurt during the robbery and police were able to arrest a 41-year-old man who reportedly confessed to the crime claiming he was out of work and needed cash.
Officers recovered the $2,500 that was stolen from the restaurant.
