Worried about your pending parking ticket?

Wait till you hear one woman's story.

The Chicago resident went up against city hall concerning her 105 thousand dollar parking ticket debt and won – sort of.

After years of trying, Jennifer Fitzgerald, an unemployed single mother, was able to negotiate the bill down to about 45 hundred dollars.

The tickets starting pouring in over two years ago after an ex-boyfriend of hers registered a car in her name without her knowledge.

Then he dumped it in an employee parking lot at O’Hare International Airport.

Over the two-year period, the vehicle was ticketed 678 times.

Fitzgerald filed a lawsuit, saying that she had neither knowledge of nor access to the vehicle.

The judge threw out the case saying it was up to the two parties to work something out.

Eventually they settled on a payment of 4 thousand 4 hundred and 70 dollars.

The ex-boyfriend is making the 16 hundred dollar down payment. Fitzgerald will pay the rest in 80 dollar installments.

In the meantime, her license will remain suspended because of the unpaid tickets.
