French FM blames chemical attack on Assad, rockets pound Syrian suburb

In the Damascus suburb of Jobar -- just moments before rockets hit nearby. This is where they are said to have impacted. Walls have been ripped from the buildings still standing. Others are little more than piles of rubble, according to this latest video posted to a social media website whose content Reuters cannot independently verify.

The fighting wasn't confined to Jobar -- rebels could be seen taking positions in the Damascus suburb of Darraya.

Allegations that chemical weapons were used on civilians in Syria last week is forcing the West to refocus its attention to the more than two-year-old conflict.

In Jerusalem, French foreign Minister Laurent Fabius isn't mincing words.

"I can tell you that the evidence is clear and it proved that it was a massacre following the use of chemical weapon, and the Assad regime is responsible."
