Chennai Express earns Rs 33.12 cr on Day 1

Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's Chennai Express released on the auspicious occasion of Eid. This sure seemed to be a lucky day for SRK and Rohit to release their film. Evidently, Chennai Express earned whopping Rs.33.12 crores on the first day of release itself. By this, Chennai Express has created Box Office history, making it the biggest ever opening for any Bollywood movie.
