Thousands of protesters called for Tunisia's Islamist-led government to quit on Tuesday night in the largest opposition rally since the country's political crisis began two weeks ago.

Earlier, the head of the Constituent Assembly which is working on a new constitution suspended the body until the government and its critics hold talks.
