Flavor Flav's Chicken & Ribs is now out of business. According to reports, the bosses running the restaurant weren’t paying rent, leading to an eviction.

Most of us are familiar with the rapper of 1990s hip hop group, Public Enemy and reality TV star, Flavor Flav. While successful in the music and TV fields, his restaurant business called Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs located in the Detroit suburb of Sterling Heights didn’t do so well and was recently evicted.

According to reports, the bosses running the restaurant weren’t paying rent. The eatery was originally going to be evicted in June of this year, but a motion of stay was filed in court, allowing the chicken establishment to remain open for several more weeks.

However the rent money never surfaced, meaning an eviction was imminent. It total, the business operators owe the landlord about $25,000, but Flav is not responsible for the debt.

An attorney who represents the building owner stated “Flavor Flav was not involved in the active workings of the restaurant. He appeared at the opening and got his picture taken with the mayor of Sterling Heights and got some publicity on TMZ and things, but he was never involved in the day-to-day operations.”
