Azerbaijan is blessed with lucky geography, on the crossroads between Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and geology, perched on the oil-rich Caspian Sea. But a decades-long "frozen conflict" with the Armenian enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh has hampered its ambitions to become a regional bridge-builder.
