Egypt crisis causes Gaza fuel shortage

Gas, already a precious commodity in the Gaza Strip, is even more difficult to obtain these days.
Gazans say Egypt's political crisis, that's worsened since the overthrow of President Mohamed Mursi, is the reason for the fuel shortages.
On Friday, Egypt closed the Rafah border crossing after a series of deadly attacks blamed on militant Islamist groups.
The crossing is the only gateway Gazans can use to import goods, including fuel and food.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) GAZA RESIDENT, MANSOUR SALAMA, SAYING:
"The crisis has had an impact on everybody. I have been waiting for a month to refill my gas canister."
Egypt has seen several days of clashes pitting Mursi supporters against those who backed his ouster.
At least 42 died overnight following shootouts between pro-Mursi demonstrators and security forces.
