THE SAINT: Vatican Confirms Second Miracle by Late Pope John Paul II; Granted Sainthood

The late Pope John Paul II will be declared a saint after Pope Francis approved a second miracle attributed to the Polish pontiff. No dated for the sainthood ceremony has been given. The Vatican also approved sainthood for Pope John XXIII. Pope John Paul II led the Catholic church for 27 years, from 1978 until his death in 2005.
