Govt submits affidavit on CBI’s autonomy in SC

The central government has filed its 41-page affidavit on the autonomy of the Central Bureau of Investigation in the Supreme Court. The affidavit says that a collegium headed by the Prime Minister and also consisting the Chief Justice of India and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha will be responsible for the appointment and removal of the CBI Director.
