A female Republican of the Texas House of Representatives caused an uproar after she says rape kits can cause abortions, and refers to the process as being "cleaned out". Jodie Laubenberg made the comments during a debate over a controversial bill that would ban abortions in Texas after the 20th week in pregnancy.
