Hundreds of migrants try to enter Italy by boat

Italian authorities have picked up more than 400 migrants trying to enter the EU through Italy by boat in the past 12 hours.
Most were from Syria, Afghanistan and Kurdistan. One mother had given birth to her baby at sea.
The coast guard fears more migrants will follow as the weather for crossing the water improves.
