Afghans reel from power shortage

Afghanistan imports around 80 percent of its electricity, despite having the potential to produce all of its energy needs.

The country has hydroelectric capabilities and natural gas reserves in the north.

But decades of war and neglect have left only one in three Afghans with access to power.

Al Jazeera’s Jennifer Glasse reports from Jalalabad, the city that has the priciest electricity in the country.
