Mokhtar Belmokhtar gets 10-page reprimand from al-Qaeda bosses

Former al-Qaeda fighter and mastermind of the gas plant hostage crisis in Algeria, Mokhtar Belmokhtar, was bad employee and his bosses told him so.

Belmokhtar received a 10-page reprimand from the terror organization's leadership which detailed many examples of poor performance and behavior. He was criticized for failing to submit expense reports, not picking up his phone and unsuccessfully executing any "spectacular" attacks. He was also accused of "sneering", "back-biting" and "name calling", and was compare to a "bleeding wound" which could not heal.

Belmokhtar broke away from al-Qaeda last October and started his own group. The following January, he carried out the gas plant raid in Algeria.
